succinctly captured the essence of why Egypt continues to be mired in a vicious cycle of poverty, incompetency, fraud and corruption, with no solid ideas and

clear and sustainable vision for its near-term, let alone long

term future

Sisi’s regime that started with a broad and brilliant potential, is turning catastrophic.

The Courts did not address the urgency or the quality of decisions needed.

Slow and useless bunch.

The Ekhwan Mouslemeen remain in key positions, and sanctioned by Tantawy, Beblawi, Mansour, and now Mehleb.

These MBs are KILLING Egyptians daily under Sisi’s watch.

Egypt’s Leadership Team misses integrity, character, authenticity and performance

Nothing much! Oh yah, and they are NOT elected.

All the Governors, heads of Institutions, Universities, Hospitals, Public Service, Public Sector, Media, Banks, etc… are Hosni’s cronies, MBs, or old geezers that are not elected.

Don’t you just love Kamal El Ganzoury? Anan?

Without Parliament there are No checks or balances on leadership and authority.

Sisi and Mehleb love that.

The start with a low-tech Suez Canal dredging project suggests that Egypt’s leadership vision remains committed to the 1850s.

Losing kids, patients, loved ones, soldiers, guards and cops EVERYDAY due to traffic, incompetence and irresponsibility is reach a boiling point.

New threats go unaddressed: Suez Canal that would get much less traffic due to terrorists that took over Yemen, is an example of wait and do nothing!

the growing poverty for over 85% of the population earning less than $3 a day;
the absence of humanity in the social policies to improve housing, public transit, health care, food safety, education standards, culture

the growing corruption in all the public institutions and agencies;
the absence of a national strategy to define where Egypt is heading;
the inability to integrate Christian in managing the country they once owned and ruled;
the rejection of women that comprise half the nation, when women are better qualified than most drugged men;
the lack of accountability at all levels, specially at the political and ministerial levels;
the inability to make decisions urgently needed at times, and badly needed always;
the snail pace of justice that has not completed one important case since 2011;
the inability to manage vital infrastructure needs such as hospitals, schools, roads, hydro, drinking water, energy supply, food security, rail safety;
the explosive birth rate that destroys any income progress;
the belief that Al Azhar promotes Islam better that the Internet can, guarantees terrorism;
the confusion and blending of Islam with the state constitution, laws, education, and governance;
the failure to think a law reform agenda;
the absence of political parties;
the absence of a coherent foreign policy;
the secrecy in all decision making;
the inability to clean up the street

and waterways from garbage;
the indecision to clean-up the Constitution while knowing its failings;
the indifference to a low productivity unskilled nation due to inferior education, Hep C sickness, and unemploy-ability; and
the confusion of Sisi’s public appeal and charm with ANY achievements and results.

To me

a culture change is a must,
a nation of laws is a must,
a nation of meritocracy is a must,
a nation with a clear cut separation of Islam and state is a must,
a nation where accountability is in effect day in, day out, everywhere is a must
,
a nation where its work force is firing on all cylinders, men, women, minorities, foreign investors, etc., is a must,
a nation where work ethic is valued much more than piety is a must,
a nation equipped to differentiate between opposition, dissent, activism, etc. and terrorism, militancy, extremism, allowing the former to flourish and forcefully stamping out the latter, and
a nation where its authoritative leadership comes not only from either the military or the mosque but from all segments of society is a must;
would dearly like to experience an Egypt run by other than a king, a military man or an Islamist.

This would

merely

be a good start, I could not care less if the president is Sisi or Misi or Fisi, I care even less who is the prime minister or the ministers....If we honestly believe that Egypt has it from within to lift itself out of mediocrity and into the limelight of modern nations, then we must ask its leadership to tackle first and foremost

its

well-known core issues
