For Egypt not to be a failed state, it must find its ways and means NOT to have the following attributes and common indicators:
- a central government that is so weak or ineffective that it has little practical control over much of its territory;
- non-provision of public services;
- widespread corruption and criminality;
- refugees and involuntary movement of populations; and
- sharp economic decline.
Egypt must find its ways and means to be:
- an Egypt that will pave the way for its people with job opportunities, a sound nation-wide system of education, and a universal health care system;
- an Egypt where freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press reign, and these freedoms are the backbone of legislation and national policies; and
- an Egypt where over the years more and more Have-Nots join the ranks of the Haves, producing in Egypt a credible, robust and high-powered middle class, and ushering in an era of enlightenment all across Egypt.

Simply put, no society can truly flourish if it stifles the dreams and productivity of half its population,its women. Countries that don't use the vast intelligence in women are the least civilized, least prosperous and least democratic.
