Egypt’s 1952 revolution and military rule, a history in photos

     every social, cultural, and legal barrier that she viewed as oppressive to the full equality of women.
      Look where we are now, with women being pushed into the background, asked to be heard but not seen, expected to stay at home, suffer grossly inferior education and tend to their husbands starting as a child herself and providing him with children, preferably only boys.

      Hard to believe that they were allowed to rise to power in 2012, creating a situation now that is exceedingly dangerous and will take an enormous effort to extricate ourselves from.

    who planned 
    the attempted assassination of Gamal Abdel Nasser
     , on his way be hung.
  • 42.........Our beautiful, chic and modern Egyptian women, cheer
     ing 
    a new Egyptian constitution that promised new rights for women.
  • 46..........Look who was there!
  • 47..........The beginning of....................will leave that to you to finish.
  • 50..........Look how happy Mubarak is, knowing that soon he'll become the Pharaoh of Egypt.
